I don't take the opportunity to brag on many people other than my kids on the blog, but today I would like to post a poem that my mom wrote this past weekend in light of Mother's day. She would shoot me if she knew I was sharing this with you all! There are many times that people tell me that I remind them of my mom and I take that as the ultimate compliment. Well, days like today she reminds me nothing of myself and makes me look silly! God speaks to her in so many ways and one way has always been through writing which few people know. I hope this blesses you! I love you, Mom!
A Mother's Day Reflection by Linda Moudy
Looking back
Brings tears to my eyes
As I ponder
The gift You gave
You gave me children
To love and hold
Two precious lives
With a future untold
Quickly you showed me
They were only on loan
They were not mine to own
But a priceless consignment
The task seemed overwhelming
The calling too great
How could you trust me
A life full of mistakes
You couldn't trust me;
But I could trust you
Your Word was explicit
With promises true
Just follow your Word
Pray and believe
Lead them and guide them
And Your Will would be
They found their Savior
They followed their heart
They stood firm in their faith
From the very start
Every year was a blessing
Better than the last
It wasn't always easy
But the hard times soon passed
You gave them Godly spouses
We couldn't love more
You gave them precious children
That now numbers four
The blessings keep flowing
The fun never ends
The love keeps on growing
Your mercy you send
On this Mother's Day
I am overflowing with praise
For the gifts your gave me
That brings joy everyday.

What a beautiful poem--I'm glad you did share it with everyone! Your boys are so cute--looks like you guys are doing well.
Your mom is good at this. I've always enjoyed her poems.
Beautiful. And it is a great compliment when someone compares you to Linda!
Wow, that's awesome, the boys are so precious--can't wait to see you guys!
Mandy, this is priceless...thank you for sharing it.
